Can: Nose is coconut, chocolate, bounty, vanilla, hint of mint, chocolate. Taste is chocolate, coconut, vanilla, hint of marzipan, roast stout notes which off set the sweetness of the adjuncts. It's a beer I always wanted to try when I first heard of it, but the lived experience while better than many other coconut beers is only OK.

Poured from 355mL can (canned 10/16/20). Very dark brown with tan head. Lots of coconut with underlying rich chocolate. Sweetness is balanced with the bitterness. Quite nice.

Can. Pours black with a small tan head. Aroma: coconut up front, with chocolate & vanilla behind. Taste: moderate to heavy sweet, chocolate, intense coconut. Medium body with moderate carbonation. Very sweet but works quite well.

Can from Struise Shop, Bruges. Pours hazy black with a lasting, thin, frothy, beige head. Aroma of coconut, vanilla custard, crème brûlée, mocha, milk chocolate, vague soy, fig. Taste has sweet milk chocolate, biscuit & cream with gentle coconut accents intermingling, undertone of nuts & dried dark fruits, only softly toasted bitter. Malty, herbal hoppy finish, not overly toasty but still apparent, while chocolate, coconut & cream linger too. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. We might all agree that these characteristics work even better in a hefty Imperial Porter (or even Stout perhaps), but this one does the job very well too.

Pours an almost black colour and a rocky, dense light brown head with good retention and lacing. Aroma's: big cocos, sweet, bounty, light roast. Retronasal it's bounty, cocos, sweetish, milk chocolate. Flavour is moderate sweet and light roast bitter. Light bodied, I expected a bit more. Not too long finish with cocos, roast, moderate bitterness. Cocos seems a bit artificial.

(Can) Black colour with creamy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of chocolate, coconut, treacle and fudge. Malty, roasted, sweet taste with chocolate, coffee, butterscotch, coconut and a sweet finish with low bitterness. Medium body, really sweet. Lots of chocolate and coconut, but too sweet and cloying. Still, quite nice.
