Aged for 14 months in a 10 year Wild Turkey barrel, we further bottle conditioned this single barrel barleywine with vanilla honey. The result is a restrained approach that lets the barrel aging process on this beer be the star of the show.

Dark sweet and toasted malty with lots of toffee and caramel, fudge, dark sweet dried fruit shred, full bodied, bourbon infused malty finish. Lovely.

Sweet, some pale wood, bourbon, sun-kissed malts, a nip of citrus. Pure bourbon, really. Good one.

CBJ tasting. Thanks to me for the bottle. Hazy amber beer, small cream colour head. Smooth palate, mildly dry, decent fine carbonation. Smooth malts, creamy caramel but in very nicely bourbon soaked fruits. A slight savoury vibe and decent amount of oak induced vanilla on the light finish that also brings mild spice. Very quaffable barleywine.

Bottle shared at the craft beer junction bermondsey tasting. Many thanks. A reddy. Amber coloured pour with a lasting loose magnolia head. Aroma is semi sweet, toffee apple, raisin, airy. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, nutty, roasted, green apple, mellow vanilla, bourbon barrel aged.. Palate is semi sweet, oily, light tang, moderate carbonation.

Bottle from Beerdome. Hazy red brown with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel, dried fruit and light bourbon. Flavor is very sweet. Light dry finish with heavy alcohol. Oily, soft and a bit boozy. 030424
