F-yeah is our tribute to the craft beer staple, the American Pale Ale. A base pale malt provides the foundation and ably supports the aromatic and biscuit malt, giving the beer its backbone. Hops are added at start of boil and again at the end providing the citrus aroma balancing a firm bitterness. A full strength beer to be enjoyed at any time.

Malts: Pale, Gladiator, Aurora, Light Crystal

Tap at Hopscotch, Melbourne. Poured a clear medium amber with a frothy white head. The aroma is grainy light sweet malt, metallic hop bitter. The flavour is moderate bitter light sweet with a crisp, grainy malt, light fruit, watery, metallic woody hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with average carbonation. Not so great.

Bottle. Amber, not quite clear. Off white head fades to a fat coat. Aroma of bread crusts, peach, pine, some floral, citrus notes. Heavier bodied than expected, moderate carbonation. Sweet caramelised bread crust, then lots of woody and herbal flavours and quite strong bitterness. A bit crude and old-fashioned but tasty and offers plenty for its strength.

Pours amber with a large head.Nose shows soft spicy hops and some biscuity malt.Malty flavours, with some nutty and biscuity notes along with a hint of spicy hops.Hits the mark a lot better as an English Pale Ale, nothing American about this.

640ml bottle into tulip glass. Hoppy nose with hints of cocoa, liquorice, pepper. Cloudy caramel colour with foamy white head. Zingy mouthfeel, oily texture. Finish is fruity bitterness with some stray umami notes (peanut?). More fruit notes appear as it warms. Good, enjoyable, easy-drinking ale.
