A golden beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of hops, malt, spices, and citrus fruits. The flavor is sweet with notes of hops, malt, caramel, citrus fruits, and spices, leading to a bitter finish.

44cl can @ Niamey Craft beer tasting at Villa Abdou, merci Richard. BB 30/01/2019.

From a 440ml can on 25/8/2018. Pours a cloudy deep golden with a medium to biggish head. The nose features dank hops, with herbal, grassy and resiny notes, and some fruit. Has a fair bit of fruity sweetness up front, with some caramel and biscuit malt, which of whacked by some massive piney, resiny, herbal hops. Has a slick, almost syrupy texture, with moderate carbonation. This was described to me as a huge, in your face hop bomb, and it is, but it's also balanced, and extremely flavoursome. A super intense, complex and quite wonderful DIPA.

Can. Very hazy amber, loose white coat of a head. 3- Somewhat solventy aroma with pine, kumquats, herbal and tropical notes. Thin, less than clean with some spiky alcohol things poking out. Sweet with oranges and Asian pineapple, then sharper citrus, pine and some herbs into a strong bitter end. Not my sort of thing.

Can from Brewcraft at home for #900! Clearish copper amber pour with quickly dissipating white head. Aroma is honey malt and juicy tropical fruit - pineapple, mango, some tangerine. Taste is sharp hoppy fruity bite followed by pine and more mango and pineapple. Sweet heavy malt, maybe too heavy. Smooth slightly rich palate. Overall pretty good, but a little too sweet and malty.

Can at Slow Beer, Fitzroy. Poured a hazy straw colour with a frothy white head. The aroma is grainy malt, woody, light alcoholic hop. The flavour is moderate to strong bitter with a grainy, light floral alcoholic bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. A good example of the style.

440ml can. Pours hazy bright orange. Orange juice, grapefruit, a little herbal, a little black pepper, a nice syrupy sweetness, strong bitterness in the back end. Big juicy, big sweet, big bitter. This seems like an encapsulation of the 2017 IPA trend (in New Zealand at least), and god damn is it a good one. Really good stuff.
