For the meal, this one was perfect, on the way of an imperial stout and a quad, roasted malt, yeasty with some herbal and cherry notes, boozy and syrupy, hop, perfect during this windy day, at Monday, 05.11

Bottle from Sebilinz. Many thanks! Dark brown colour, beige foam. Aroma of dark fruit, caramel, light roastiness, herbs. Taste is sweet, notes of herbs, belgian yeast. A bit messy. Very strange. I don't think I like it.

Very interesting dark beer. Great.

Bottle, 330 ml, courtesy of JFK10000. Shared with Max. Pours brown with medium beige head. Herbal, sweetish, some pine, roasted, chocolate. Dry. Light sourish in after. Medium bodied. Bit odd, wonder if it+s supposed to be this way, heard it was pretty good on tap, but this is different.

Tap at the Monyo Cafe, Budapest. Poured a clear dark brown with a frothy off white head. The aroma is roasty, grainy malt, herbal, light floral hop. The flavour is moderate sweet with crisp, dry, light red berry fruit, light liqouirce floral hop palate. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation.

Bottle thanks to wombat23. My first ever „black Saison“. Pours virtually black from the bottle. Frothy tan head. Aroma is Federweißer, a bit floral. Taste is mildly bitter, quite dry, Yeasty, spicy, tart, full of blackberry, charred orange peel, smoke. Body is medium, carbonation is prickly. This beer is going in a lot of different directions and while it doesn’t pull everything together with elegance, it does provide some creative twists without glaring flaws. Good stuff.
