12oz bottle. Pours a clear dark brown with a minimal head. Clean caramel malts, a bit of toffee, some piney character even though it isn't hoppy. Flavour has tons of clean caramel, a surprising amount of bitter pine after all this eisbocking. Tons of bitterness, nice hop character, and solid malts. Maybe the 18% is getting to me, but this is great. The more I drink of this, the more I appreciate, this turned out fantastic. The bitterness is so intense, but balances with the rest so wel.

Dark amber with no head. The aroma is boozy, and there's a bit of hop in the nose, along with a lot of toffee sort of sugars. Bitter, and also sugary, with some weird woody notes. Toffee, boozy, bitter, some toastiness, too. it's all over the place. It's unique, I'll say that. Won't say it's good. But it's different. I mean, okay, not my thing but good on you.

330mL bottle, pours a dark mahogany with a tiny head. Aroma is full of toffee, booze, intense bittering hops, and bready caramel. Flavour is extremely hoppy and bitter, with plenty of booze, bready caramel, more booze, and more hoppy bitterness. 500 IBU? Haha, doesn’t seem like it, but I do like the intense bitterness; and it has a sufficient malt base. Best freeze-distilled IPA I’ve ever had. Definitely fun and surprisingly excellent.

Poured from 330mL bottle (vintage 2023; bb 20/01/25 +10YR). Hazed amber brown with minimal white head. Intense caramel malt and piney hop underlay. Interestingly pleasant. Feeling this as a boozy sipper.

Bought with real anticipation; I like it when Struise get creative.
Nose: Powerful malt, resin, honey, nuts, resin, sugars, fruit cake. Taste is resin, leading to caramel, nuts, resin, fruit cake, absurdly heavy booze note, touch of mango, and grapefruit, faint hint of cherry and sweet notes with huge spice.
Exceptional hire wire act.

A beautiful, red-brown beer, a head is quite small and light beige. Aroma has dried fruits, apricot plum, maybe also raisins, pine, surprisingly fresh. Taste has dried fruitness, prune, raisin, apricot, lots of pine, strong bitterness. Full bodied. Surprisingly (easily) drinkable, even there are lots of heavy nuancees. Very nice beer.

Bottle picked up from TripelB, Worcester and consumed at Jude and Baz's and shared with Baz at Spond, Herefordshire listening to New Music Fix with Nathan Shepherd and Deb Grant on 6Music, Tuesday 3rd March 2026 Dark brown with ruby glints, there was no discernible head. Surprisingly smooth and easy drinking, slightly bitter, hoppy but with a slight fruity twang. The nose has caramel, hedgerow berries, and a little boozy waft. It's warming in the mouth, btw glad that I shared this with Baz. All told a decent eisbock. Score 7.3
