500ml bottle. Clear, yellow-ish, golden colour with average, thin, creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, snow-white head. Yeasty spicy, slightly yeasty, fruity, phenolic aroma, sweet-ish notes of banana, papaya, some vanilla, wheat malt, whiffs of clove and aniseed. Taste is surprisingly dry (or better, non-sweet), yeasty fruity and yeasty spicy, wheaty malty, hints of banana, dried banana, some vanilla, clove, whiffs of aniseed; slightly bitter and minimally leafy, hoppy counterpart. Creamy texture, smooth and soft palate, fine and soft carbonation. Well contolled sweetness, relatively clean yeasty spiciness (no peppery flavours), a bit monotonous - not bad, not overly exciting.

Tap at the Great Beer Bar, Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. Poured a hazy straw colour with a thin broken white head. The aroma is gluey malt, dry yeast, light citrus fruit, alcohol bitter. The flavour is moderate sweet light bitter with a smooth, warm, rich malt, fruity light spice alcohol bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. The alcohol really dominates this beer which is really surprising at just 8.5% ABV.

Bottle. Clear gold with a small white head, low bead. Aroma of honey, lightly spiced brioche-y dough, apricots, flowers. Lowish carbonation, but it works. A curious trick here is that it is very yeasty but the honeyed fruit flavours seem very clean - barely ripe apricots, some sweet oranges, hints of banana - and ring out very nicely. It’s very sweet but dries out quite a lot with very moderate spices and discreet bitterness. Alcohol is very well hidden. Bitterness and coriander creep up after a while in a dryish orange-tinged finish. Good. [3.7] Larger white head but it fades quickly. Fairly sweet and very fruity, fairly clean, hop aromatics, spices and bitterness at normal tripel (ie non "Belgian IPA") levels. Mellow and tasty.

Mostly golden with a touch of amber. Sweet but yeasty with an almost champagne-like yeast note. The aroma has lemons an champagne yeast. I think that what would otherwise be a sweet, fruity tripel is salvaged by this yeast character, as it both dries it out and adds complexity.
