Slightly hazy golden and straw coloured body with a nice three centimetre tall pure white head. Aroma of fresh tropical fruits, some dry malt, a touch of hay and grasses and ending with a dose of funky yeast and alcohol at the very end. Medium-bodied; Strong tropical fruity hops at first with a dry and perfumey character as well with some lighter alcohol and astringent notes showing some metal as well, but with the balanced malt and dry airy and floral notes, this shows a nice complexity with the bitterness from hops still front and centre. Aftertaste shows mostly the bitterness from the hops with a touch of citrus and drying grassy and herbal qualities as well with a proper balance and a decidedly bittered finish, in a good way. Overall, a nice and well-structured IPA with the tropical fruity notes at first, then give way to a dry, grassy and herbal hoppiness, but the complexities from dry malt and light astringency keep this focused almost solely on bitterness. Good to sample and a nice IPA that isn't a 'New England Style' option, but good with a light touch of citrus, still. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from GlenRo Spirit Shoppe in Monroe, Connecticut on 10-March-2018 for US$4,99 ($15 for three bottles in a section) sampled at home in Washington just over a month later on 13-April-2018.

Sampled on draft at Tapped this beer poured a cloudy yellow color with a large foamy white head that left good lacing. The aroma was tartish with tropical fruit, citrus and yeast. The flavor was bitter and tart with tangy citrus and tropical fruit. Long finish. Medium body. Meh.

Tap at Hair of the Dog, Phrom Phong. Poured a hazy light amber with a thin broken white head and some broken lace. The aroma is malt, orange citrus hop. The flavour is moderate bitter light sweet with a dry crisp fresh tart citrus yeasty hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Tasted a little infected to be honest. Not as good as the earlier ratings might suggest. I suspect this one might have taken a while to get through customs.

Bottle from Total wine-Henderson. Pale golden, hazy, head fades to ring. Light smoky, earthy aroma. Taste adds some light tropical notes, stone fruit too. Malty, dirty, dank. Way too much going on here, yet really accessible. Dries out towards the finish, with some minor stickiness. Nice!

Tap at Bud’s 2nd Anniversary. This copper colored brew has a prickly pear/tropical fruit hop bouquet with an underlying woodsy pine. Medium bodied but none dry. This is a crisp as hell IPA that gives you juicy sweet fruits and very mild maltiness. Really good and well balanced.

22 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 3/9/2017. Pours slightly hazy medium golden/yellow color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big pineapple, peach, grapefruit, apricot, white grape, tangerine, lemon zest, mango, melon, mint, light pepper, pine, light honey, biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Some dank weedy/onion notes initially, until it warms up. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/earthy hops and moderate bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big pineapple, peach, grapefruit, apricot, white grape, tangerine, lemon zest, mango, melon, mint, light pepper, pine, light honey, biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine/herbal/grassy/spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of pineapple, peach, grapefruit, apricot, white grape, tangerine, lemon zest, mango, melon, mint, light pepper, pine, biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/earthy hops and moderate bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero lingering hop astringency after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from lingering bitterness, lightly increasing through the glass. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy/sticky, and slightly resinous balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 6.5%. Overall this is a very nice IPA. All around nice nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/earthy hops and moderate bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mellow bitterness. Very vibrant with unique hop flavors; nice malt backbone that is never sweet or heavy. Kind of like a west and east coast IPA hybrid on style. A very enjoyable offering.
