The Duvel Tripel Hop Cashmere is a Belgian IPA with a nicely balanced bitterness as you are used to from Duvel. 'Cashmere' is the result of crossing a female 'Cascade' hop plant with a male 'Northern Brewer' hop plant.
With this Duvel Tripel Hop we use aroma hop Cashmere as the third hop variety. Grown in Washington's Yakima Valley, this hop enriches Duvel's flavor palette with fresh notes of coconut, citrus, peach and melon.
To brew Duvel Tripel Hop, the brewers do not simply add a third hop, but they use the dry-hopping technique. This brewing technique means that in addition to the hops during the boiling process, extra hops are also added at a later stage of the brewing process (during the lagering process). Bottle, probably BaseCamp. Misty golden body, lasting white head. Big aroma, white grapes, light alcohol, white wine aroma really. Sweetish, dry, well carbonated taste, white wine all over the taste, light bitterness. Tasty stuff, but probably past its prime. Warming, clean, nice!

Bottle from Belgiuminabox. Pours an almost clear light golden colour with a large light fluffy white head. Aromas of floral hops and light notes of tropical and citrus fruits. Taste has more floral notes and more hints of tropical and citrus fruits. it has a gentle hoppy bitterness and light peppery spice on the finish and it is extremely well balanced. Medium body, fair carbonation and a very slightly oily mouthfeel. Great beer.

Bottle from Dranken Vandewoude and drunk on a campsite with Nelson. Clear gold colour lasting white head.. Perfumed hop aroma. Some alcohol strength. No burn but a little golden syrup. Slightly spicy. some floral hop. decent enough. not the best Tripel hop but ok.

Bouteille 33cl, BB 10/2021.
Dorée, col blanc épais.
Arôme rend pas mal les effluves du houblon Cashmere avec un rétro-nasal fruité tirant sur les agrumes voire citron vert et pointe de melon/abricot confit et un fini herbacé. Note tout de même une grosse influence belge au niveau du grain et de la base levure.
Palais est ici de suite orienté sur le côté classique belge - alcool se ressent immédiatement - sécheresse des grains avec une douceur latente rappelant la coco et un retour d'agrumes - citron vert en fin de bouche.
Effervescence est moyenne voire haute et accentue l'effet de sécheresse aidée par le dry hopping. Pas mal, sur la fin les quasi 10% de cette version viennent diminuer le côté 'quaffable' surtout avec une bonne chaleur dehors.

Geel bier met schuim wat voor een Duvel best redelijk snel wegzakt. Smaak is bitter hoppig en licht fruitig zuur met iets van ananas en citrus. Wel lekker vers en fris van smaak. Vind dit toch echt de mindere van alle tripel hop versies tot nu toe.

330ml bottle. Golden yellow appearance with a faint mist, full white head. Fresh floral nose. Taste is super fresh, floral and lightly fruity, a touch soapy, grassy but nicely balanced and drinkable overall. Another good Tripel Hop but seems to lack a distinct character of previous editions.
