Shared by Marko at Brustok 2026. Many thanks! Med-thin bod, high carbo. High bitter, med-light sweet. Boring hops character, seems pretty aged, but was probably boring to begin with. Classic piney resinous, a bit citrusy. Goodish even as is, was probably good when fresh.

0.33l can "East West IPA", hauled from Vietnam by Riba (ginormous thanks!), shared in Plzeň with Gurthnar. The little can traveled a lot! Hazy golden-amber body, off-white head. Somewhat oxidized, jammy fruity aroma, some caramelly notes. Lean, smooth dry taste, jelly fruitiness, bit flat, lotsa bitterness, pretty drinkable!

Can @ JM Athenia Boutique Hotel Hoi An beach. Almost clear, deep golden body under a big, stable off-white head. Aroma of malt, toffee, citric fruits, citric fruits and hint of pine. Taste is balanced sweet malt, citric fruits, toffee, light bread, pine and decent bitterness. Balanced body with a smooth malty, fruity and bitter aftertaste. A really nice, no nonsense classic IPA.

I'm getting a strong yeast note in a lot of these Vietnamese beers, which I'm starting to think is just a feature. Other than that it has aromas of pine needles, pepper, dry biscuit and a little mango. Nice bitter finish that's not overpowering.

Can at home, courtesy of Haki and Imi. Copper pour with an offwhite head. Light caramalts meet pine and zest, decent body, ok intensity. I would’ve loved this 10 years ago.

7/10/2023. Can shared at Ulfborg. Pours dark golden orange with a foamy off-white head. Aroma is hoppy, soapy, tropical, orange, caramel, resiny pine. Moderate sweetness and medium to heavy bitterness. Medium body, average carbonation. Good.

[ As East West Far East IPA ].
ABV: 6.7%. Clear medium orange yellow colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, moderate hoppy, orange - citrus, fruity hops, woody hops. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, sweet malt, fruity, orange, woody hops. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20231007]
