On tap at Torst in Brooklyn. A well named super stout. First, it is a good looking beer with an dense, ultra dark tan head on a black body. The nose has standard dark chocolate and coffee elements, backed up by dark berries, booziness and a touch of sour. The density and velvet feel are prominent from the first sip. Sweet, ripe dark berries, dark chocolate, mild but fresh ground coffee and molasses are well blended in the foreground of the taste profile. The boozy warmth, vanilla and a touch of ash in the finish round things out. A memorable sipper.

Backlog November 2017. Black body under a small beige head. Almost intense aroma of darl malt, soy and alcohol, kinda vinous in a way. Taste is ultra-sweet, dark malt, molasses, alcohol. Full bodied and long lasting alcoholic warming aftertaste. Best in smaller amounts.

Burk restaurant krokius. Färg=meningslöst är ju kolsvart Imp Stout. Smaken då? Sjukt jävla fyllig krämig i munnen. Ja sammanfattning Inga konstigheter bara jäääävligt god imp Stout.

Bottle, many thanks chriso! Thick black color with dark beige head. Aroma is molten black chocolate, quite rich. Taste is black chocolate, rich dark flavours, sweet, but not as sweet as I would expect from 17.5%. Thick oily mouthfeel with medium carbonation. More balanced than expected for 17.5%.

A lot of licorice in this one. Boozy, but no sticky alcohol. That is the most remarkable with this one. Powerful and nice evening sipper. Also a really nice balanced sweetness.
