We’ve always believed the best way to respect tradition is to brew the unexpected. So when we set out to create a sessionable lager befitting of the Pacific Northwest, our sense of exploration led us to this dry-hopped wonder befitting of everyday adventure. Citrusy Tettnang Mandarina hops combine with the crisp, bright character of a traditional lager to deliver a beer that is truly refreshing, and undoubtedly worth sharing.

Shaker pint draft at Tanners in Overland Park, Kansas. The pour is a slight haze yellow golden with a fizzy 1/2 inch white head. The aroma is light grass, lemon and some herbal. The taste is big herbal, lemon verbena, grass, cracker malt and a mineral earth finish. The palate is medium to light bodied fine active carbonation and the mineral herbal finish. Herbal citrus lingers dry, chalky almost dirty. Kinda weird.

Bot. Wonderland IPL? Perhaps but from start to finish this is more like a mildly hopped saison. Very light pale with a barely detectable haze. Good slight hop aroma, smells fresh. First impression on the palate is foaming sizzling co2. Yes, something in that yeast makes me thing its a saisie. Yes, the hops are there but they are not overwhelming. Well, OK, after the middle those hop thangs start to settle in trying to be an IPA. In the end its a pretty decent India flavored beer, some manners with a little bit of civility. Yes, love that sizzle carbonated saison feel in this one, right up to the finish.

12oz bottle. Hazy yellow-orange body. Foamy white head. Boring brewhouse aroma, faint Mandarina I suppose. An OK drinkable beer, but a little bit rough, grainy, cheap feeling. Medium bodied. Easy going, balanced.

Pours a very light, pale yellow, with minimal head. Very grassy aroma, with some touches of citrus. Flavor is also quite grassy. It’s all right.

Bottle a slight haze on this bright light golden pour. Bright white head. Pale light malts and rather lightly hopped. Lacking some of the classic Pilsner bite, more like a blonde. Clean light palate. Very tasty

12 ounce bottle. Pale yellow gold color. Big rocky white head. Faint citrus hop nose. Soft malty flavor has a light biscuity note. Pleasant citrus hops in midtaste. Notes of tangerine and lemon peel. Mild dry finish. Very flavorful and drinkable. Head stays right to finish. Great lacing.

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Hazy blond color. Decent Lager, mild malt background, a bit herbaceous, but also with some citrusy hops. Balanced.
