75cl bottle @ Belgian Beer Geeks Autumn Gathering 2025. Pours a slightly unclear deep mahogany amber, beige head. Plenty of boozy bourbon here complimented by soothing vanilla and chocolate with a long bitter close.. Pretty good.. went well with traditional Flemish vlaai made by Bieridder!

0.75 l bottle from the brewery's web shop, best before December 2030. Almost clear, very dark ruby with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, beige head. Sweetish-malty, slightly fruity aroma of molasses, bourbon, vanilla, raisins and some alcohol. Extremely sweet, heavily malty, slightly bitter, gently fruity and rather boozy taste of molasses, chocolate, cough syrup, quite some bourbon, vanilla, licorice root and a touch of marzipan, followed by a long, slightly bitter, very boozy finish. Full body, smooth and oily mouthfeel, almost flat. Very deep and saturating brew, rather boozy as well though. Not the most refined Barley Wine from Kees, still a pleasure to drink.
