Enjoy this thirst quenching ale with French Port Salut or other lightly tangy cheeses, baguettes and friends!

This delicious continental ale brewed in the Audomarois province is bursting with malty and fruity notes. French hops, originating from the Alsace region - Aramis and Strisselspalt - are used bringing a fresh bitterness with slight herbal and citrus notes.

Best served lightly chilled - so grab yourself a bottle and enjoy. Santé!

After trying 60 or so new French brews last month I've raided the cellar again for something similar to keep the style memories flowing, and as I'm not the only person rating this in the last hour I already know it's a good one! Spices prominent, fruit, herbs, excellent body. Pale malts. Bitter-sweet.

Creamy off white head on a clear copper coloured body.
Spiced fruits, berries & malt aroma.
Medium bodied, lightly carbonated with a sticky back.
Malt, resin, berries, spiced & under ripe stone fruit with a bitter herbal finish.
A full mix of tastes on the tongue - Tasty.

Bottle. Nose is malt, bread, brown sugar, a little spice. Taste is malt, brown bread, slightly medicinal hop note, hint of anise, slight citrus. Thinner than you might expect but nice

Amber beer with thick, creamy head, yeasty slightly funky aroma, some spices, creamy in the mouth with a touch of fruity yeast, cereals and a light sponge cake finish with a long herbal bitterness. Very drinkable but not amazing.

Bottle from Eltham Sainsburys. Orange marmalade, sweet herb & light spice aromas. Taste is apricot jam, orange marmalade, peach, touch of jammy red fruits. Spicy sweet & warming. Very nice colour too.

[75cl bottle from my local Sainsbury’s.] An amber pour with a thick cream coloured head; yeasty aroma; creamy in the mouth with some fruity yeast, cereal grains; and a light biscuity finish with a little spicy bitterness. Better than expected.
