In late spring 2022, we received a batch of 2-year-old Danish Shipyard Ale that had been aged in Chardonnay barrels at the Baghaven Blenderia from passionate port lover Ehren Schmidt. We carefully blended it with 1-year-old lambic and a touch of very young lambic. After an additional 2 years of aging in Bordeaux barrels, we finalized it with a 50/50 ratio of lambic and Danish Shipyard Ale.

Super elegant, incredibly nose with very clear port notes. Can taste Ehren’s hand here, reminiscent of Insight Cellars, vinous, with a lovely tart fruit character

Bottle shared at Billy's 40th. It pours slightly hazy deep orangey - copper. The aroma is musty, funky, vinous, jammy, port, blueberry, bramble, tangy, granny smith and blueberry muffin. The taste is crisp, dry, tart, vinous, tart, tangy, bright acidity, vinous, tangy, tangfastics, red wine balsamic, bramble, redcurrant and warming vibes. Medium body and moderate, fluffy carbonation. Fun stuff..

Bottle, directly from Bofkont. Color: Slightly hazy golden to amber, very thin white head. Aroma: Vinuous, fortified wine, funky, some tartness. Taste: Complex mix of fruity lime and unripe apricot, some green apple, red wine, fortified wine hints, oak wood, rural funk, moderate tartness, hints of vinegar, hay. A little sharpness towards the finish. Medium body, low carbonation. Nice complexity and balance. Lovely Geuze.
