Tap at MBCC 2017, Red session. 13%. Poured almost black with a bubbly off white head. The aroma is roast, dry coffee, chocolate, some alcohol. The flavour is moderate sweet with a smooth rich oily liqourice alcohol chilli spice palate. Medium to full bodied with soft carbonation.

Draught @ MBCC 2017. Pours pitch black with a bubbly brown head. Aroma of roasty malts, coffee, cocoa, bourbon, vanilla, spices and oak. Taste is smooth, slightly roasty and sweetish with some complex notes, wood, oak, vanilla, coffee, chocolate, cocoa, hints of earthiness and whisky. Finish is smooth, complex and roasty with some coffee, chocolate, cocoa, vanilla, oak, wood and hints of syrup. Smooth, complex and well balanced. Tasty.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle. Aroma is chocolate forward with moderately strong roast and coffee notes followed by some lighter vanilla and faint chilies. Light whiskey notes and faint oak. Hints of alcohol spice. Pours jet black with a small, forced, dark mocha head that recedes quickly to the edges and disappears. No lacing and moderately long legs. Flavor is rather sweet with a lot of upfront chocolate notes and hints of caramel and toffee. Medium light coffee and roast notes with moderate to medium light vanilla. Light chili spice in the finish. Light whiskey and oak notes with hints of alcohol. Mouthfeel is medium full bodied and slightly silky with medium low to low carbonation. Low astringency and medium low alcohol warmth. Overall, a nice stout. I really like Bomb and the variants for how easy they are to acquire. I also like the fact that it has chili but none of that disgusting cinnamon that usually accompanies the chili. Solid balance between the chocolate, coffee, vanilla and chili notes as well. Seriously, stop putting cinnamon in stouts.

Keg at Ratebeer Best Beer Festival. 31/01/2016. An oily caramel brown coloured pour with a thin tan head. Aroma is spicy cinnamon , nutmeg, oak, bourbon, vanilla, some sweet pralines. Flavour is composed of sweet brown sugars, toasted marshamallow, bourbon oak. Palate is full, sticky, sweet, sticky sweet, spicy finish. / Lovely.

Ringing in 3K. Pours a pitch black with a tiny head that dissipates instantly. Big cinnamon stick and cayenne pepper nose at first. As it warms more dark fruit and bourbon notes. Thick and chewy on the palate with fudge brownies, coffee, more dark fruit covered in vanilla bean. The barrel comes though nicely and is well integrated...never overwhelming the bomb base. This is stellar really.

Keg at Himmeriget. It pours jet black with a medium tan head. The aroma is rich roasted malt, sweet, toasted coconut, vanilla, coffee, chocolate rocky road and whiskey. The taste is rich roasted malt, slick, chewy, chocolate cake, warming chilli spice, coffee, mocha, boozy action, whiskey, vanilla and oak with a slick, sweet finish. Full body, fine carbonation and chewy mouth - peel. I really like aroma, but the taste is a touch sweet and lacking in depth. It is still pretty good overall though!
