Barrel Aged Bomb! is the result of our world famous imperial stout, Bomb!, that was tucked away in wooden barrels for several months. Vanilla and caramel notes balance the big flavors from the whiskey barrels and come together for an extremely complex yet balanced experience.

Bottle: Poured a deep black color ale with medium dark brown foamy head with some retention and light lacing. Aroma of whiskey and vanilla notes with light pepper notes. Taste is a superb mix of whiskey notes with some vanilla and light spicy pepper notes. Some black chocolate notes are also noticeable and some residual sugar notes. Body is full with good creamy texture and good carbonation with no apparent alcohol notes. I love how the barrel-aged notes cut through the spicy character of this beer.

On tap at CBC 2016 - day 2. Wow, interesting beer! More lighter than the base beer, with the usual cocoa, vanilla, light chili spiciness, chocolate, and with some very nice whiskey influences.
