Bottle, as Black Knight. Label says 10.5% ABV. Black with a coat of tan head. Aroma of of mocha, earth, licorice. Not much more than medium bodied, but has a pleasing smoothness. Sweet with molasses, mocha, some licorice, prunes. Gentle bitterness grips gradually. A little more might have made the finish a bit more of a contrast. But not bad at all.

Bottle at Craft CG share thanks to Tipple. It pours jet black with a medium tan head. The aroma is soft, sweet, sugary, candied stuff, vinous, vanilla, rocky road, toffee, honey and butterscotch. The taste is tart, tangy, sugary, wood, plum skin, fortified wine, creaminess, prune, damson and a touch of sherbet. Medium - full body and prickly carbonation. Interesting stuff, but not sure that it comes together in a cohesive manner

Craft Tot Ct Rd. Bottleshare. Thanks to Tips. As 'Black Stallion'. Opaque dark brown beer, small tan head. Smooth and semi dry palate, reasonable fine carbonation. Tangy malts, light cream. Little tangy coffee. Mild lactose. Smooth finish. Okay. Doesn't quite gel for me.

Bottle split at CBC St Giles, thanks to Tipple, 30/05/18. Pitch black with a decent tan covering. Nose is roast malts, spice, charr, dark fruit rinds. Taste comprises cocoa powder, toffee, light black peppery spice, vanilla, modest barrell. Medium plus body, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Passable impy stout but low hanging fruit for said style.

Bottle shared in London - cheers to Tipple. Pours black-brown with a foamy, mocha head. Burnt wood in the nose, a little funk, earth, leather. Light sweet flavour, some tangy leathery berries. Medium bodied, lightly chewy, with fine carbonation. Finishes with more tangy berries, earth, cocoa. Not the best.

From a 330ml bottle on 3/11/2016. Pours a dark, dark brown with the barest of heads. The aroma features light chocolate and roasted malt, with some basement notes. Flavour wise, it’s got heaps of sweet chocolate and some caramel, against a background of roasted malt and licorice, with a good dash of vanilla in the mix. It actuall comes together really nicely, sispalying length of palate and quite a bit of complexity. The texture is slick and the carbonation moderate. I really enjoyed this one.

Draft at Taps Beer Bar, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a deep mahogany with a big long lasting frothy tan head. The aroma is rich roasty malt, coffee, dark chocolate. The flavour is strong bitter with a rich roasty, alcoholic liqourice bitter palate. Full bodied with soft carbonation.
