500ml Bottle - Copper with a foamy head. Sultanas, dried apricot, pine and some hints of berries in the aroma. Hoppy, fruity and resinous taste with notes of pine, dried fruit, grapefruit and berries. Easy to drink, in fact its drinkability belies its fairly potent strength.

Cask at Bree Louise. Has quite a deep double IPA taste. A slavering bitterness cloaked in sumptuous fruits and a vague wisp of wood varnish. Very moreish.

Bottle at the Croydonia Tasting, thanks to whoever provided this one, 13/07/13. Lightly hazed golden amber with a thin off white head. Nose is bready malts, bitter orange, lgith booze, sugars, mineral notes, hoppy backnote. Taste comprises light caramel, biscuit, bitter fruits, orange pith, dank hops. Medium bodied with bite, moderate carbonation, crisp bitter finish. Decent enough stuff - not 100% sure on this being classed as an IPA though! English Strong maybe - tough one !

Cask at the Birmingham Beer Bash 2013. Poured a cloudy light amber with a round glass-hugging head. The aroma is rich dry dusty alcohol and malt. The flavour is medium to strong bitter, alcoholic, liqourice and with some hints of red berry fruit and malt in the finish. The ABV is high but the alcohol is well controlled.

Bottle shared at Croydonia tasting. It pours hazy amber with a small white head. The nose is bitter-sweet, earthy, varnish, juicy, caramel and light toast. The taste is bitter-sweet, pithy citrus, wood, varnish, earth, toasted brown bread, resin and grass with a dry, bitter finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Good bitterness. Pretty decent all-round.

Rake. Keg. Hazy amber beer, tidy pale cream coloured head. Palate is smooth and soft. Smooth and light creamy malt with a nice caramel and toffee streak. Bitter hops, just a touch of dried fruits. Smooth finish with a strong bitter linger. Comes together well. Dunno about IPA - feels like an ’Imperial Bitter’. Nice work!
