Dit bier is de kroon op de 9 verjaardagsbieren van Moersleutel, een ultieme expressie van luxe en complexiteit. We hebben alles uit de kast gehaald voor deze non-adjunct barrel aged stout.
Het bier rijpte op twee bijzondere vaten. De eerste is van origine niet gebruikt voor drank, maar voor siroop, namelijk maple syrup, en voegt een diepe, zoute zoetheid toe die uniek is in zijn soort. Daar tegenover staat het kruidige, licht rokerige karakter van Sazerac Rye bourbonvaten. Samen zorgen ze voor een bier dat zowel robuust als verfijnd is, met een gelaagde complexiteit die blijft verrassen.

Had this on Day 14 December 2025 of advent calendar (Loz's) and again 27th February 2026. Okay Dec' rate, this was what I wrote. Poured like engine oil, so thick but super smooth. However at 14% had to put it back in the fridge half finished to drink the rest another time. Why on earth did I forget to post that rating 😄. Had this again shared with Baz. Friday 27th February 2026 around Jude and Baz's, Spond, Herefordshire we cooked a Chicken Tikka Masala for everyone.This is fabulous. So thick, smooth, oily, coffee and chocolate but lots of coffee. Score 8.3

On tap. Pours black with full foamy nitro like dark tan head. Aromas of maple syrup, dark sugars, dark chocolate, sharp bourbon and slick roasted malts. Flavors follow same with additional vanilla. Quite sweet and sticky but cut with bourbon to dry things out. A beautiful looking pour…

Draught @ Mig & Ølsnedkeren. Pours black with a small brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel, chocolate, light maple, bourbon. Flavor is sweet, roasted malt, caramel, dark chocolate, light maple, light vanilla, bourbon. Medium to full body, soft carbonation, sweet finish with a little warming alcohol. Smooth. 170126

Nose is chocolate, dark malts, liquorice, spice, molasses, nutty.
Taste comprises chocolate melt, subtle bourbon, spice, toffee fudge, honey, ripe fruits.
Full bodied, fine carbonation, light drying close with a balanced rising boost.
Solid impy.

Can. Oily viscous looking dark brown black beer, small dark tan head. The beer clings to the side of the glass in a smooth and uniform manner. Smooth viscous palate, reasonable fine carbonation, fine for the style. Rich dark malts, creamy and with a lovely chocolate vibe, some biscuit. Rich ripe fruits, slightly savoury, modest maple - just how I like it. The barrelling is well integrated, some boozy bourbon soaked ripe fruits and a little oak barrel induced vanilla. Super duper, incredibly rich, could pass for pastry but isn't.

On tap at Dutch Taproom. Pours black with a tan head. Roasted malts, salted caramel, maple, and rye whiskey on the nose. Flavour is absurdly rich with tons of chocolate, brown sugar, toffee, maple syrup, and bourbon barrels. Absurdly rich and intense, but the barrels bring it together very well. Excellent.

Can shared by Joen. Opaque black color, medium sized dark brown colored head. Aroma is malts, roast, some coffee and definitely heavy barrel influence. Flavor is malts, soft roast, maple. Soft bitterness. Thick texture, soft carbonation. Not bad, but very heavy.
