Bottle, at Ølfestivalen, Nærbø. A hazy brown colored beer with a small beige head. Some curtains. Caramel, dark sugar, some bread and dried fruits in the aroma, along with faint notes of burnt malts and citrus. Even a whiff of alcohol. It's full-bodied and quite sweet, with a light sour touch and a nice carbonation. Not really alcohol-warming on the palate. Sweet flavor with caramel, dark sugar and some alcohol, as well as dried fruits, some bread and alcohol. Lasting semi-sweet finish with the booze shining though. A clever named beer with potential. 171021

Bottle. Unclear amber body with a big, creamy beige head. Aroma has caramel malt and dry fruit with a little hint of booze. Flavor is sweet malt, dry fruit, hint of wood and warming alcohol. Fine body and OK aftertaste. Nice aroma, a bit more average in taste. Decent, but something is missing.

KØLF 210417. Dark brown color with a beige head. Aroma is spices, malt, hop. Flavor is spices, cognac, bread, caramel, bread, chocolate, malt, hop. Medium body. OK/Nice beer.

Bottle from Palme. Many thanks! Beautiful brown colour, creamy beige foam. Berries, caramel, cognac. Very thin body, metallic notes, some dusty notes. Old ale is a good description of this beer.

Bottle. Pours unclear, dark brown, with a finger thick creamy head. Aroma is dark, roasted malts, with bread and herbal notes of anise. Medium body, with soft to average carbonation. Flavour is dark roasted malts, with liquorice, fruity notes and caramel,as well as notes of cognac.

Dark amber with dark off white head - Malt aroma with some hints of hops - Dark malt body with some dark fruity flavours as well - The dark malt flaovur goes into the finish and there is some bitterness as well - This was good

0.33l bottle from #229. Smells nice this. It pours a deeper dark brownish colored body. Looks mildly clouded and on the top there's a small quickly faded and sidesticking off-white filmy head. As mentioned I quite like the aroma on this one. Not hard at all to identify the massive cognac sweetness here. Almost a little vanillaish. Reminds me of Julebord with my work. There's also tones of chocolat and dark caramel here. A mild mild woodiness in the back. Quite enjoyable to sniff at. The cognac is also really pleasant and present in the taste. It feels somewhat thin, almost a little watery in the mouth though and it's quite gently carbonated this. A mild roastiness, tones of almond cake and even some chocolate wrapper detected, but it's undoubtedly the cognac sweetness that dominates this. A nice after - or in my case tonight a pre dinner beverage. 16.12.2016

330 ml bottle, batch #229, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 7%, 36 IBU. Hops are Horizon, Fuggles and Cascade. Cognac added. Dark brown colour, small off-white head. Aroma and flavour of malts, caramel and cognac, medium sweet. Moderate hops in the finish. .

Mørk brun med høyt beige skum. Luktet melkesjokolade, brent karamell, noe vanilje, rosiner og kaffe. Middels fylde. Brent karamell, alkohol, trevirke og noe vanilje. Lett bitter middels lang.
