Sampled between ratebeer and brewver, so no extensive review available. Decent, for some reason I like the DOS series much less than their other stouts, even after several (re) tries from both new and old editions.

Bottle thanks to Felipe! Pours inky black, small beige head, dissipates fairly quickly with some lacing. Aroma is chocolate, molasses, oak, bourbon, vanillin, more molasses. Flavor is fairly sweet and light plus bitter, oaky, a bit boozy. Full body, creamy mouthfeel. A bit too much barrel on this one.

Bottle split at RB Best awards dinner, thanks, 30/01/16. Black with a decent tan covering. Nose is chocolate, spice, bourbon, dark fruit rinds. Taste comprises toffee fudge, chocolate melt, dried fruits, molasses, spice to balance. Medium + body, fine carbonation, light warming boost in the close. Solid impy.

Flavour is quite hot, alcoholic, rhum, cognac, whisky, roasted malts, molasses, coffee, chocolate brownie, bittersweet boozy finish. Medium to full bodied. Very nice, but a bit OTT.

Huge aroma of chocolate, bourbon, cookies, vanilla. Sweet flavor, rich, delicious. Full-bodied. Wonderful stuff.

Bottle at RBWG. It pours black with no head. The aroma has big rich notes of fudge and wood. The flavor is very woody with more fudge. Thick on the palate, but not too sweet. Very low to zero roast. All fudgy chocolate and wood. Really awesome.
