Fortunate Islands combines the bangin' hop aroma of an über-tropical IPA with the crisp, deeply quenching drinkability of a killer pale ale. We achieve this magical result by starting with a mild, nutty malt backbone, then dry-hopping the bejesus out of it with Citra and Amarillo hops. Restrained bitterness and vibrant notes of mango, tangerine, and passionfruit combine to form a sessionable crusher of mind-bending proportions. It tastes like wizards.

Can from the LCBO. Hazy medium gold with a small lingering white head that leaves some patchy lace. Nose is tropical fruit with passion fruit and mango in the fore along with some grapefruit and floral notes and grain. Flavour follows with a light sweet malt supporting a medium citrus and tropical fruit bitterness with more grapefruit presence. Mouth is medium- and slick with average carbonation and a shortish bitter finish. 8/3/7+/3/15-

Clean golden colour with a big frothy warm cap, good retention and some creamy lace. Beautiful fresh hop aromas with hints of lemongrass and mild citrus. The mouthfeel feel thin, with a little dryness. The taste has some hoppiness, but pretty light (which is good for a Pale Ale) and the wheat seems to calm things down even more. Becomes hazy at last pour. A good tropical pale ale.

16 ounce can. Hazy gold wire a frothy beige head. Citrus hop nose. Tart wheat malt flavor is balanced by the fruity citrus and berry character of the Citra hops and the melon and peach notes from the Amarillo hops. Pure and easy drinking with light grainy, nutty notes in finish.

Pale wheat ale? IDK, this is more like IPA, dude. From the start its hazy pale, like NEIPA. Lots of good lacing. Smell is bordering on BO IPA nose. Does everything have to be IPA today? Go figger. Hey ho, lets go, IPA! Taste is APA bordering on IPA. Not as bad as many IPA and it comes across quite well mannered inteh middle. Bitter, none the less, especially in the finish.

Sampled on draft at Tapped this beer poured a murky orange-peach color with a huge foamy yellow-white head that lingered and left great lacing. The aroma was faint but had notes of earthiness and body odor. The flavor was bitter, earthy and off with citrus, funk and body odor notes. Medium length finish. Medium body. Pretty awful.
