La Bonté is open fermented with our house Brettanomyces strains. The beer is then blended with a portion of Blonde Sour and onto a half pound per gallon of French Pears. Then we age the beer in bottles until it reaches perfection.

Gedeeld met m'n buddy Peer. Zuur, fruitig, fris.. Ik haal de peer er niet uit. Beetje hout. Ik vind 'm nice. Ook al is Wicked Weed macro.

Bottle, 2015. Pours clear golden, medium white head, dissipates fairly quickly, decent lacing. Aroma is full of oak and Brett, citrus, funk, basement, lemon zest, mineral water. Flavor is light plus tart, light plus funk, bright and citrusy, clean brett, mineral water notes. Medium body, soft carbonation. Quite good.

Stewed pear, cumquat, church basement aroma. Clear amber, medium head with little retention. Tart, overripe apple, musty pears, a touch of stewed tomatoes. Medium body, easy carbonation.

Draft at Craft Brewed Wicked Weed event. Pours a clearish gold with a finger of foam. Light pear skin, barnyard, lemon and hay. Clean and crisp, more pear skin...dry, faint berry notes as it warms. Well done. --- Beer merged from original tick of La Bonté Pear on 19 Oct 2017 at 21:22 - Score: 8. Original review text: Light pear skin, barnyard, lemon and hay. Super hazy golden and light copper coloured body with a small pure white head and a nice glow of copper when held to the light. Aroma of citrus, light malts, a touch of yeast and quite a bit of pear sweetness. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong pear and apple flavours at first with a big dose of citrus, grain, light malts, some mellow sweetness from the fruits and a touch of pungent tart notes. Aftertaste is decidedly fruity with a lot of pear, citrus and apricot/peach flavours roaming around with more of a bite from the grassy and dryness than anything else, but this goes down pretty easily. Overall, a nicely balanced and layered beer throughout, however, not something that is amazing or worth searching out for! I sampled this sixteen ounce pint on draught at Whole Foods in Pentagon City (Arlington), Virginia on 20-October-2017 for US$5,00 sampled at the end of my driveway.
