Cask-conditioned, on gravity, at the Grain Barge, Bristol 8/4/2017. Hazy gold, with a small, off-white, head. Some tropical fruit, sweet, biscuity, malts, grassy hops and a lingering, dryish, finish. Enjoyable.

Cask at the Falcon (JDW), High Wycombe. A pale straw pour with a thin white head; tropical fruit aroma, with pineapple to the fore; thin in th emouth with a pineapple squash taste; then vegetal bitterness before a clean dry finish. A pleasant English attempt at an APA, but not the best.

Keg tap at the Port Jackson (JDW), Bishopโ€™s Stortford. Mid-gold, cloudy with a gentle white head. Orchard and tropical fruits in the aroma with some sweet candied malt notes. Bittersweet taste leaning toward the sweet. Apricot and shortbread with pronounced bitter hop in the long finish. A masterful APA.

On tap at their outlet @ Berkhamsted. Grainy smooth beginning. Nice floral rough hops, mild but not too sweetish body. Easy to drink with a grainy and very nice floral piney finish. Nice!

Gravity cask at the Bree Louise, London. Pours a rich, clear orange-amber with a mild cream head. Great hop aroma, tons of fresh grapefruit and pine, along with minor bread notes. Flavor is dominated by the hops, with a pronounced bitterness consisting of orange, grapefruit, dirt and pine. There are light malt undertones. Medium to full in body with fine to average carbonation. The finish is resinous and bitter, with very faint caramel sweetness. Superb beer. I almost feel like Iโ€™m back in the States.

Cask gravity at Ealing BF 2008. Amber/red colour with lasting beige head. Blimey, thatโ€™s hoppy. Bit syrupy on the malts. I mean completely unbalanced, but a huge amount of grapefruity american hop. Stunning. Malts are a bit too sweet maybe.re rate 2020 twelve years ago. hazy gold lasting white head. good hops. good citrus. yes good citrus pale ale.
