A straightforward porter where malt takes center stage. Rich notes of caramel, roasted grains, a hint of coffee, and touches of dried raisins come together to create a vibrant and flavorful beer. A pleasantly bitter finish enhances and extends these flavours on the palate.

[33cl can from Beer52.] A murky peaty brown pour with a loose beige head; sugary aroma; sugary malt taste; and a very sweet finish with a touch of boozy raisin. Not my idea of a porter.

A dark brown beer with a beige head and moderate persistence. Aromas of chocolate, hazelnuts, and caramel. Tastes of roasted malt, nuts, caramel, and a hint of grass. Decent bitterness. Medium-bodied, slightly dry, but still quite distinctive. A good porter.

330ml can via Beer52, brewed in the EU. Poured into my Gordon's thistle shaped glass at home on 1st July 2025. Ruby hue to the dark brown body, beige crown on top. Earthy, nutty and malty, nice semi-sweet caramel/chocolate flavours arrive and a subtle bitterness takes over in a lingering dry finish. I bet the normal 8% ABV version is really good. This was fine and fairly rich body wise.
