Pours clear pale yellow with a white head. Aroma has notes of malt, grain, soap and hint of citrus. Taste is light sweet and light to medium bitter with a long soapy, grainy and fruity finish. Body is light to medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.

Clear yellow with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, fruity and light hoppy - flowers. Flavor is medium sweet and moderate bitter. Sweet and moderate bitter finish. 201214

Lightly hazy copper - sudsy lace - nose of earthy honey, moderately rustic and lightly peppery phenolics, crackery malt - creamy texture, medium carbonation - the honey adds moderate sweetness and additional depth - malt.character is toasty, which is complimented well by the reletively high spiciness kicked out by the yeast - finish brings some wildflower notes, some muskiness - lingering spiciness - pretty well-executed, but the finish is a little sweet.

Clear copper pour - pleasant nose of roasted pumpkin, vanilla, nutmeg - medium sweet, but a nice toasty, crusty malt character - flavors of vanilla, nutmeg - a bit of peppery spice, especially in the finish, which also brings some cardamom and hearty pumpkin flavors - quite nice.

Tap at the brewery - purplish red with a light pink head - I often dislike beers with hibiscus, but this is nice as it does not taste overpowering - the hibiscus and lemongrass play off of each other well to create a moderate tartness - there is a tart raspberry character throughout that is quite pleasant - some soft, mildly sweet wheat - chamomile finishes, but sadly, the finish is a little watery (I have had earlier test batches of this beer for which this was not the case, so that is a bit disappointing, as those batches would have.garnered at least a 3.8) - a decently refreshing, lightly tart brew.

Tap at the brewery - pours a light ruby with a tight pink lace - nice, tart aroma.of raspberry, hibiscus, chamomile, rose hips - nice froth in the mouth - flavor is much less sweet than the base beer - the herbal addition makes this into a nice crisp, moderately tart, crisp, and refreshing beer - nice for this warm.weather - touches of tart raspberry, hibiscus, grape skin - tart, moderately acidic finish - a light mineral dryness accentuates the tartness - solid!

Tap at the brewery - turbid gold - frothy head - the honey is prominent in the nose, as is a kind of white frosting-like sweetness - however, there are also touches of grass and peppery phenolics, as well as a light muskiness - given the sweetness and alcohol level, this has a character more like a tripel in the nose and flavor, but this is not necessarily a bad thing, as the beer is actually quite good - flavors of earthy honey, light bitterness, some dusty yeast, grass/hay - finish has somealcohol heat - overall, it’s bit sweet and I would like more balancing bitterness, but still fairly good.

Tap at Coda - gotta give props for naming their beer after a contemporary jazz group (one that recently released a pretty sick cover of The Rite of Spring, by the way) - black pour, with a fairly thick, off-white head - similar to their Migration stout, but with lower sweetness - a bit more acidity and some bittersweet chocolate and roast - hard to tell if there is actually coffee in this, but there is a light espresso note - creamy texture - a nice balance of the sweetness and more bitter qualities (acidity and bitterness do not add any abrasiveness) - another solid offering from this brewer.

Tap at Coda - dark mahogany brew - hearty, rich maltiness, with notes of toffee, raisin, fig, treacle - moderate peat smokiness adds additional depth - it’s pretty darn sweet, but a moderate acidity cuts through the middle before the smoke arrives, balancing it a bit - some spiciness, earthy malt, and warming alcohol in the finish - it’s good, but it’s very sweet, even for the style.

Tap at the brewery - they supposedly lagered this for three months, and it shows (and is much appreciated) because the result is a smooth and balanced lager - a nice froth in the mouth - smooth malt texture, a moderate mineral bite - the hops are subtle enough that they do not add too much bitterness - they add a touch of white grape and some grass - endlessly quaffable - impressive.
