lots of nice citrus with tons of torrified wheat. Modest bitterness. Kinda muddled.

Tap at Yokohama Fes. hoppy nose, wheat, grapefruit. Medium body, a bit funky in a strange way, but refreshing and decent.

Draft at Beer Fest 2014 Yokohama. Clear amber with a medium head. Toffee and caramel notes with a hint of hops present. Some raisin and orange as well. Malt forward and sweet on the palate with a dry finish. Kind of uninspiring and mouthfeel is like a lager.

understated, but well balanced IPA Nice backbone and never too aggressive but certainly decent amount of hops balance

Tap at 1020. Deep orange-brown, cloudy, with a low, fine head. Estery fruity nose, stone fruits, grapefruit, and lots of piny resins. Sweet stewed fruit flavor, cinnamon, very bitter and resinous, light chocolate and caramel. The hops are very bitter, resinous, and dirty. Solid without taking me anywhere exciting.

On tap at CBM Jimbocho. Slightly pinkish amber color with medium-sized soapy pink champagne colored head. Malt, toffee, caramel, brown sugar, lime zest and apricot aromas present. Fairly sweet with a hint of bright tang on the palate. Tastes like it wasn’t aged very long...a very young and bright barley wine. Light to medium body with average carbonation. Sweet malts really stand out. Slightly sweet and dry finish.

Tap at Komachi. Deep golden color, cloudy, with a fine head. Very nice, fruity Mosaic hop nose, tropical and funky, wheat bread. Fruity flavor, a bit candy-like, tropical and citrus fruits, biscuits. Slightly fake tasting sweetness and a slightly bitter, somewhat dirty finish. Good, especially the nose.

On tap under the name Cazz & Yuya Session Black IPA in June 2014. Served in a shaker pint. Blackish brown with a thin beige head. Grapefruit, Iyokan aromas are big with a slight vegetable nose and a slight bit of caramel present too. Nice and dry on the palate with some toasted caramel but more of the citrusy hops coming out. Well-balanced with a slightly bitter finish.

slightly smokey nose with a touch if sauvignon blanc. Smooth mouth that is some what smokey and fruity. Easy drinking hoppy wheat ale. Very dry, almost astringent, but pulls back. A bit of an odd one but I liked it. Bitterness doesn’t linger.
