A nice and fine brown ale
Deep brown color and a fine tan head. Looks good. Ok intensity in the aroma. Medium body and a fine carbonation level. Easy and pleasant to drink. Balanced sweetness. Ok tail. Bready, roast, some coffee and mild caramel.

Clear pale golden color with a fast vanishing head. Do not look that inviting. Ok intensity in the aroma. Just a bit to fruity. Medium body and an ok carbonation level. A bit to sweet and unbalanced. Wheat, mild citric, fruity and some weak peppery notes.

On tap at the source. An unclear orange-pink beer with a small white head leaving lacing. The fruity aroma as a light raspberry scent, some crushed raspberry or grape seeds, generic citrus and a grassy hint. Pale malts in the back. It's lightly acidic on the palate, full-bodied and with a nice carbonation level. Dry. Fruity flavor with raspberry and raspberry seeds, citrus, grass notes and a light backdrop of pale malts. A refreshing one, but even though I'm not overly fond of raspberry beers, I'd like more of it in this one. 180303

Bottle, at the brewery. A clear, brown beer with a nice dark beige head leaving lacing. Roasted malts, some bread and burnt notes, caramel, nuts and hints of chocolate in the aroma. Even some faint notes of ashtray. It's a bit thin on the palate, still at least medium bodied, mostly on the dry side and with a nice carbonation. I'd love a tad more bitterness in the flavor, it gets a bit malt driven only. Roasted malts, caramel, nuts, some bread and burnt notes as well as chocolate hints. Lasting roasted, burnt finish. It took me some sips, but then I realized it's actually a quite fine brown ale. 180303

Bottle, at the brewery. A clear, golden colored beer with a medium sized, lasting white head leaving some lacing. Fruity aroma with pine cones and a faint grassy touch. Citrus zest and grapefruit notes. It's rather dry on the palate, medium bodied and nicely carbonated with a pleasant bitterness. Some pale malts in the back of the flavor, with citrusy, lightly grassy and piney flavors up front. Long finish. Nothing extraordinary going on here, but it's an honest and quenching beer. 180303
