This one has been in heavy bbq rotation at my house the last few weeks - clean, crisp, with a prominent bitterness of grassy noble hops - dry, with a slight mineral bite at the end - floral finish - it’s not amazing, but for an American- made pils it is dang good - reminds me of when Avery made Joe’s pils - dang I miss that beer.

500ml bottle, 2023 vintage. Dark fruit aroma with notes of caramel, toffee, brown sugar, vanilla, bourbon, oak and booze. Pours cloudy dark toffee brown colored with a thin tan head that has little retention and no lacing. Starts with rich dark fruit, brown sugar, toffee and oak flavors as well as having a rich, full body and sticky sweet mouthfeel. Finishes smooth with caramel, vanilla and bourbon flavors as well as a good boozy burn at the end that seems to improve the more it breathes. Very good but it might be best to stash it in the cellar longer, probably 5 years or so might do it.

10 ounce at the Denver location - medium hazy gold - sticky lace - flavor is more bitter and acidic than your standard hazy, but has plenty of back-end juiciness to scratch the itch - moderately bitter up front, followed by medium sweetness and moderately complex tropical fruitiness - finish is on the grassier side, with some lingering bitterness - good but not great.

10 ounce at the Denver location - clear gold - nice dank bitterness - approaching sweetness, but the back end is nice and dry - citrus, pine, dankness - a pretty classic rendition of the style, really.

Pint Can. Pours a crystal clear yellow gold color with a medium white head. The aroma is somewhat light with mixed citrus, mostly pineapple and grapefruit. The taste is grapefruit, mango, pine and cotton candy. The palate is full and the carbonation soft. Finishes long and dry with lingering bitter pine and grapefruit. Overall: Decent IPA.
