Wow, this one really works. All WI-area sour freaks should descend upon the Grumpy Troll in search of this one. Fruity, sweet, and tart aroma. Orange amber color, looks unfiltered. The best ginger beer Iβve ever had. Perfectly incorporates the ginger with the lambic-like fruity tartness. Awesome.

Intense unmistakable jalapeno aroma...very unique. Hazy golden-bronze color. Relatively light bodied with a jalapeno juice finish. Light spiciness lingers in the aftertaste. Low enough in ABV for it to really work, though it certainly throws off the palate a bit. Well worth a try.

Thick milky brownish yellow-orange color. Solid banana clove aroma. Fresh and smooth. Clean but yeasty body, nice and refreshing. Clove-lemon edge. Nice.

Another relatively light session beer on tap at the brewpub. A little more malty depth than the Ensign. Some light hoppy balance. Mild soapy bitterness. Straightforward session beer somewhere between light and medium bodied.

I had this at the Great Lakes Beer Fest in Racine, WI. This was the best beer at the fest hands down, very surprising. Iβm not a fan of jalapenos at all and my friend asked me to try it. This beer is not spicy, the jalapeno is prevalent but not overpowering, great balance of ale and jalapeno at the finish. This beer made me want to take a day trip to middle of nowhere Wisconsin!

Beer #31 of 42 at GTMW, 8-8-09. Cloudy amber color, thin head. Nice IPA smell, light but it clearly advertises what this beer is. Taste is mostly fresh hops, not a lot of pine or citrus, just good hop spice. Surprised to find this is an Imperial IPA, the alcohol is very well disguised.

Growler via a trade with pepsican. Pours with a hazed golden body and a sparse, white head. Aroma of wheat, sourness, and light coriander. Taste is slightly sour with a wheat-citrus presence. Lightly effervescent.

A very well made dunkel is a rare find in the United States, and when I do find one, it will earn high marks from me. Alcohol is perceivable, but still very like a dunkel in style. Lager yeast aroma. Some meat, and an earthy character. Thanks to Skyview for sharing.

Standard amber ale, there is only so much that can be done with this style. Malty, with some earth and surprisingly peat. Dry, with almost no hop presence at all.
