Description
One of the most traditional Bavarian breweries - HERRNBRÄU - is located in Ingolstadt - the city in which Duke Wilhelm IV's world-famous “Bavarian Purity Law” was announced in 1516. For over 130 years we have stood for old Bavarian brewing art and beer specialties of the finest quality. Beer and wheat beer lovers far beyond the borders of Ingolstadt and Bavaria also know and appreciate our traditional recipes and products brewed only with the best ingredients.

On tap. RBESG Rome 2010. Clear golden with a dense and creamy white head leaving a dense lacework. Sweet, clean and delicious malt aroma. Medium body, sweet clean malts and the freshness of newly mowed grass. Very discreet bitterness. 030610

Bottle. Sweet banana, orange, clove and wheat malt aroma. Cloudy orange-brown color with large head. Sweet banana/toffee malt flavor initial followed by strong spiciness - clove, pepper, light nutmeg. Very spicy dunkelweizen but well balanced - no flavor dominates. Very nice.

Bottle: Golden, visible carbonation, smaller - slowly diminishing - white head; moderate grainy to pale-malty nose with a light dusty and strawy touch; light sweetish-bitter flavour, quite soft and light bodied; slightly lingering - mainly - sweetish-grainy finish with a delicate tart bitterness in the very end. Pleasnt, well crafted Helles......

Bottle: Golden, visible carbonation, small - but quite stable - white head; moderate sweetish-grainy nose, hiding a light strawy acidity in the background; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, almost medium bodied; sweet malty-grainy finish, leading to a light lingering bitterness in the aftertaste. O.K., nothing to complain......
