Description
This pub brewery started brewing in May 2002. A 5BBL plant is used. It brews not only for the pub but also for other outlets, too. Sales of bottles started in 2003. The beers are kräusened with fresh wort before being bottled.

26/2/2022. Bottle shared with the ITFC boys at the Morecambe tasting. From Sandringham Estate shop. Pours almost black with a small frothy beige head. Aroma of dark chocolate, roasted malt, ash, nut, dark fruits, berries. Moderate sweetness and moderate roasted bitterness with a light sour edge. Moderate body, slightly watery, average carbonation. Sour berry finish. Okay.

11/2/2022. Cask at the 12th Elysian Winter Beer Festival. Pours clear golden with a small frothy white head. Aroma of malt, cauliflower, sprouts, apple, touch of herb. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness, light tartness. Moderate body, watery texture, quite flat. Not great.

Sample thanks to Grumbo: Poured a unclear orange with a white whispery head. Aroma is fruity, peach, malty, toffee, berry. Taste is fruity, sweet, toffee, malty.

Taster. Clear amber, smaller and not too lasting white head. Mild fruity nose, some peaches, slight biscuits and honey. Medium bitterness, a bit herbal and hints of fruits. Gentler aftertaste. Light body. Not bad, though nothing special.

30/10/2021. Bottle shared with ITFCfan and ITFCDan. Bought at the Fox and Hounds, Heacham. Pours clear bright golden amber with a small frothy off-white head. Aroma of caramel, malt, stewed fruits, citrus, flowers, touch of berries and pine. Medium sweetness and moderate bitterness. Medium body, slightly oily, soft carbonation. One of the breweries better ones.

30/10/2021. Bottle shared with ITFCfan and ITFCDan. From Real Ale Shop, Wells. Pours clear golden amber with a small frothy off-white head. Aroma of malt, caramel, butterscotch, biscuit, stewed fruits, veggie edge. Moderate sweetness and bitterness with a sour edge. Moderate body, slightly oily texture, average carbonation.

Sample thanks to Grumbo: Poured a dark black brown with an orangish edges, head is tan. Aroma is vanilla, rich malts, chocolate. Taste is light bitterness, malty, vanilla, smooth finish.

7/3/2021. Bottle bought at the Fox & Hounds, Heacham. Pours clear pale amber with a small white head. Aroma of citrus, grapefruit, flowers, grass, malt, yeast. Moderate sweetness and bitterness with a slight sour edge. Moderate body, slightly watery with average carbonation. Citrus finish. Not bad, not great.

7/3/2021. Bottle bought at the Fox & Hounds, Heacham. Pours clear deep amber with a small off-white head. Aroma is caramel, malt, citrus, flowers, biscuit and a touch of sweet banana. Moderate sweetness and medium bitterness. Moderate body, average carbonation. Nice fruity finish. Enjoyed this, best I’ve had from them.

20/2/2021. Bottle shared at the third Ipswich Lockdown 3.0 virtual bottle share. Suffolk vs Norfolk. From the Fox & Hounds, Heacham. BBE: Apr 2021. Pours mid brown with a small off-white head. Aroma of vanilla, sour cherry, over-ripe banana, dried fruits, light chocolate and malt. Moderate sour, light sweetness/bitterness. Not much body. Not good at all, not sure this is what the brewer intended.
