On keg at Robin Hood, Pontefract - Clear amber body, thick cream top. Big boozy nose, biscuits, syrupy caramel, pine, indigestion inducing alcohol burn at the end. A nice sipper.

Can. Cloudy orange, 2cm white head. Citrus peel, breadcrust, grass and light pine aroma. Almost delicate palate with a lightness and slight softness to meet the more familiar SN flavours. Light bread, mixed citrus peel, some pine. Fairly bitter. Pretty good.

Can split on 832/813 to Stanhope, picked up from HOTM online, 05/04/2025.

Nose is orange zest, pale malts, grass.
Taste comprises citric tinged straw, orange peel, light breads, grains.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close splashed with mellow hop bitterness.
Tidy enough AF affair.

Pours golden with a fluffy white head. Aroma of hop oils. Taste has citrus, pine, lemon in particular. Palate has some limited wine must, more citrus oils, and pine.

Pours a moderately hazy deep amber. Medium sized frothy white head, shows quite good retention and some lacing. Average intensity in the aroma: a not timid biscuity malts base with hints of honey and caramel, a relatively deep hop profile with citric and floral notes over a light piney/resinous feel. Pleasant, but not clean/defined. Taste notes follow the aroma; pretty good intensity, so so definition. Medium to high sweetness and bitterness, both feel quite assertive in taste and aftertaste, with very good overall balance. The best quality in this beer is balance (namely, how sweetness and bitterness don't take away from quaffability despite being both quite assertive). Medium body, medium to high carbonation; pretty lively in the mouth but in a nice, delicate way that makes this beer pretty smooth and quaffable. Overall: maybe i would have found it more impressive a few years ago, as of now it feels less bright/defined than i used to remember. Palates change, but still good nonetheless. Undoubtedly a well made classic ipa.

Pours clear gold into a willi. White head with medium retention recedes to nothing. Lime aromas. Crisp with mild, tart lime and hay front to back. Lasting lime finish. Well made, but becomes a bit cloying so drink up.

Can. Just unclear amber with a good inch of white head. Mainly citrus aroma - kumquat - with some grass and breadcrust. Wouldn't have guessed Kiwi hops. So it tastes - bittersweet with maybe not quite enough body to carry the hops.
