Description
The Brooklyn Brewery started with a dream to return brewing to Brooklyn, once a powerhouse of American beer production. Today our beers travel to more than half the United States and over thirty countries. Our James Beard Award-winning Brewmaster Garrett Oliver and his team brew everything from classic styles to bold experiments and collaborate with brewers, innovators and artists from around the globe. We’ve met wonderful people in remarkable places, and we can’t wait to show everyone what’s next.

In 2016, Brooklyn Brewery sold 24.5 percent to Kirin, Japan’s second-biggest brewer. The partnership allowed Brooklyn Brewery to use Kirin’s distribution arm to sell in Japan and Brazil.

Aroma is bready, peppery—not very aromatic. Taste is moderately bitter with crisp, clean hoppy flavors. Finishes fairly dry. Crushable.

Bottle shared at work. Copper pour, off-white head. A plrasantly sweet, malt-forward lager with a pretty apparent yet not too overwhelming hoppy character. The bottle wasn’t the freshest, but it was still quite alright.

330ml draught at Nellie Pub. Thanks to Dag Erik. Upper part lacing on the glass, from a covering pearl white head, hazy orange coloured body. Moderately citrus aromas, hints of lemony hops. Fair hop fruity taste including moments of peaches and lemon followed by a semi-dry fruity end. Average, mote or less. (Hamar, 13.03.2025)

Bottle. Clear golden body with a nice frothy white head. A bit weak in aroma, malt, light biscuit, ripe citric fruit and hint of peach. Flavor feels surprisingly fresher and more fruity than aroma, still a bit subdued on the fruit and rather malt driven, but in a fine and smooth way. Medium bitter with a balanced body and smooth finish. Quite refreshing actually, not bad at all.

Bottle. Clear, deep golden body with a medium sized tan head. Quite distinct citric hop aroma with malt an hint of ripe orange. Flavor has a nice combination of sweet malt, citric fruit and some bitterness that makes this a decent and food friendly low alcohol alternative. Not too weak in body either and decent aftertaste. Not bad if you are capable to see this as this and not necessary need to have an IPA or whatever as a reference.

Bottle from MENY. Slightly hazy yellow body with a thin white head that fades quickly. Lively carbonation. Quite mild, acidic aroma with lacto and hint of yogurt and some kind of berries. Refreshing sour, mild fruit/berries, earthy and minerals. Light bodied and aftertaste in the same direction. Nice, refreshing, slightly original take on the Goose style with an unusually fruit and dry hop flavor.

Bottle @ O’Learys, Copenhagen airport. A bit uncertain about what vintage this was. It was purchased April 2018 and marked Red IPA 6,7% ABV, but the 2018 bottle is marked 5,9% and it was defintivly not the brown 2017 label from Ringnes. The label was red like the 2016 vintage and ABV, but it seems unlikely that they serves me an 2 year old IPA. Gotta put it somewhere, so this have to do temporary.
Slightly unclear golden body with a small but dense off-white head. Aroma is more malty than hoppy with some ripe fruit and marmalade. Still pretty smooth in flavor with malt, hint of bread, ripe fruit, slightly toast and moderate bitterness. Medium body with a balanced aftertaste that feels a bit more bitter than the first impression. Not bad, but not much of an IPA, feels more like a hoppy red ale. Nice to drink with my burger.

Bottle. It looks like an IPA, smells like an IPA and tastes like an IPA. Must be another IPA.
