Draft at the source. Clear ruby amber color, medium off white head. Aroma of lightly toasted caramel. Taste has caramel and very light butterscotch. Easy drinking. Guess this needs to be unretired!

Draft at the Shirlington location. Poured a hazy orange color with a small thin white head. Aroma was heavy on the wheat, clove and yeast. Flavor had a nice banana character, with cloves, and some wheat finish. I just realized it has been quite a while since I enjoyed a hefe, even in December this hit the spot.

Draft pour at the Shirlington location. Poured a hazy pink orange color with a small off-white head. Aroma is light grains, with some light peppery funk. Touch of light peppercorn spices on the tongue, with some light yeast funk. Finish is light white pepper notes. Relatively refreshing with my dinner.

Reviewed from notes, January 2013.
On tap pour into a pint glass.
The appearance was a hazy pale orange color with a bar pour’s kind of slim white head. There was barely any lacing lurking around the glass.
The smell was pretty bitter through the hops and the malts.
The taste was pretty much the same to give off a super long bitter hoppy to maltiness aftertaste that led to a dry finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. The carbonation was decent for the style and for me.
Overall, well, it definitely fit that \"extra pale ale\" style as its one of those beers that can really stick it to your palate if you’re not aware. This was not bad to me, decent beer.

A hazy dark golden-orange beer with a dense, beige head of moderate size. The aroma is hop dominated, with fluor toothpaste, resins and pine cones. Not much maltyness going on. The flavor has some sweetish pale malts, but it’s the hops that runs the show. Fluor tooth paste, resins, citrus zest and pine cones, with a bitterness that lasts for a good while. A quite nice one, but I’m not very fond of the hop profile. 140829
