Marked as 18th annual special 2017 version. Pale and clear. Tap BJs boardman. Nose has no hint of the alky content within. First taste is somewhat boozy but more behaved than expected. Not in yer face like so many other so called grand crues. Warming sensations down the throat. Some leather, some saddle. Some something else. Slight medicinal finish but overall it hides its alkyt pretty well for such a high abv brew.

BJs boardman oh. Barely any smell. Looks like lighter iced tea. Taste is a little bit of leather with a mild malt background. Good co2 throughout. Lacks many of the ill attributes that many craft ales posses. Not bad, enjoyable civilized brew. Better than expected. Probably one of the better mild amber ales I've had in a while.

Tap BJs boardman. Darker pale like iced tea. Spicey nose. Yes, some pumpkin spice but its never overdone. Quite mild on the spices and not overpowering like so many pumpkin beers, that typically do not even have pumpkin in it. I don't like pumpky beer is general but I found this quite enjoyable for a change. It even had shades of tartness lurking in the background. In the end, I think I could actually taste the pumpkin. Yes, probably on e of the better pumpkin beers I've tasted. Well balanced pumpkin brew. Thanks!

Draft BJs Boardman. Pale yellow. Mild nose. First taste is civilized and friendly. Easy bubbly fun. Very good carbonation. Well done lager. Finishes with a tad of slag. Very good overall lager experience. Pleasantly surprised, much better than expected.

Sampled on draft this beer poured a slightly hazy caramel color with a medium sized foamy orange-white head that left a bit of lacing. The aroma was musty with honey, cracker and faint golden fruit. The flavor was yeasty and fruity with honey, cracker and hints of black pepper, medicine and perfume. Long finish with a bit of booziness coming through. Moderately full bodied. Ok but disappointing.

16 oz pour on draft at BJโs Vienna, VA location. Served in a fluted tulip like the photo. Clear golden orange with off-white head. Aromas of mango, floral notes, light biscuit, malt. Tastes of citrus, mango, stone fruit, floral notes, light biscuit, malt. Medium body with a dry finish. Solid IPA, goes well enough with a meal.
