330ml bottle. Dark brown colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Slightly grainy, minimally spicy, dark malty aroma, unusual yeasty touch has a peppercress note. Taste is minimally roasty dark malty, subtle sweetness, a cautious touch of chocolate, again this nice, unusual yeasty touch of peppercress; dry overall, dry finish. Noteworthy somehow.

500ml bottle from Beers of Europe, poured carefully as the last one I had from these guys had a fair chunk of sediment in. This one came out a clear ruby brown, but then I discarded the last half-inch or so of beer. Firm off-white head. Aromas of biscuit and toasted nuts, light fruitiness. Taste brings more red fruit, light sweet, light spicy bitter finish. Medium body, perhaps a little thin texturally. Light bitter finish. Good.

Lightly hazy gold beer, small white head. Palate is light, dry and crisp, Mild pale malts, dry. Little yeasty bitterness. Mild floralness and a bare whisper if citrus. Light dry finish. Wishy washy for a Golden at best, but to call this an IPA is frankly pathetic!

50cl bottle from the Hogs Back Brewery Shop. A really pleasant, easy drinking bitter, with a touch of chocolate malt. Copper coloured with a tight cream head; fruity aroma; silky in th emouth with a grany body, and a sweet nutty chocolate taste; with a sweet milky chocolate finish.

50cl bottle from the Hogs Back Brewery shop. Clear amber to start with a billowing white head, some sediment adding a slight haze by the end of the pour; yeasty aroma with a trace of citrus; clean sitrus taste, with a hint of orange juice; and a fruity finish. A pleasant golden ale, but nothing more.
