Bottle from the Bottle Bank. Appearance - amber rather than golden, some head. Nose - biscuits with a zing of lemon. Taste - more into toffee and biscuits, a vague note of citrus again. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a finish that could be a little fresher, to be honest. Overall - decent ale. The person who loaded it, correctly put it into Bitter rather than a particular Pale Ale style.

Bottle from the Bottle Bank. Appearance - dark brown and close to opaque. Decent head. Nose - soy sauce and charcoal. Taste - more salt and savoury notes. Smoky too. Some chocolate and honeycomb coming back at the end. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy yet dry texture and a long dry and balanced finish. It is complex and interesting. Overall - might put this into porter style but difficult to tell considering big influence of the oyster.

Hazy medium to dark brown colour, big foamy beige head, sizzles down gradually to a thick layer, fair lacing. Aroma sweet malty, toasted, hazelnuts, caramel, chocolate, dark fruit notes. Taste slightly smoked, medium sweetbitter, nutty, some caramel, some chocolate. Medium body, oily to light watery texture, average carbonation, mild bittersweet aftertaste, bit spicy, chocolate, overall a nice tasty beer.

Bottle from the Bottle Bank. Appearance - golden with a proportionate head. Nose - lemon and pale malt. Taste - massive lemon pith note again with a touch of malt in the background. Palate - light bodied with a long dry tangy texture that continues through the finish. Overall - solid but a bit on the bitter side. Definitely a summer beer. f

50cl bottle from the Bottle Bank. Appearance - dark brown to opaque black but seems a little undercarbonated. This resulted in a thin quickly disappearing head. Nose - loads of hazelnuts and gentle toffee. Taste - there’s a slight sourness to the taste and then there’s the intertwined nuts and toffee (praline) note. It’s almost like a tart red fruit at the start. Palate - close to medium bodied with this tart middle section that then goes sweet and finishes up fairly dry. Overall - not sure the tart red fruits were part of the plan. OK though.

500ml bottle. Clear, ruby red glowing, chestnut colour with small to average, creamy, half-way lasting, moderately lacing, beige head. Minimally roasty, dark malty aroma, hints of red berries and their parings. Taste is minimally sweet dark malty with a touch of caramel, fruity hints of red berries, a mildly dry, nuttily touch as well; smooth, soft, silk palate. Admirable virtuosic artisanry.

Bottle. Freebie from Beer Central, Sheffield. Cheers Sean! Murky, dark brown. Thin, lasting, tan head. Glossy, alcohol legs in the glass. Rich chocolate. Quite cakey. Sweet, fruity, and boozy. Heavy on the vanilla. Taste is dry, light bitter, with loads of lip sticking sweetness. Fairly rough, boozy palate. Finishes dry, and light bitter. Starts off great, but tails off a bit.
