Off the clearance rack for a buck. Appearance is bubbly water with a yellow tint. Nose is clean unfettered hard apple cider. First taste is also clean fresh apple cider, no ill effects on the tongue. Yes a little dry, but with a small amount of sweetness as well. Good level of carbonation. Smooth but has a slight processed feel to it. Also, could use a bit more tartness. Not bad overall and quite friendly. I like the fact that the sweetness is subdued, unlike many other soda pop domestic woodchuck genre ciders. Level 3 cutting carbonation throughout the ride. Yep, pretty good session.

Can off the buck clearance shelf. Pour is nearly clear light brown tinted pale. For near 6%, this stuff initially comes across rather mild. Nose is clean and rather fresh smelling. Decent amount of co2. In teh middle, it certainly is a mild Oktoberfest, no real negative attributes on this one; its better than I expected. Finishes with a slight domestic processed feel but overall its a pretty good example of a domestic fest beer.

Can from JR's. Pale yellow. Big white craggy head. Nose is mild banana and bubblegum, almost makes me think this is a hefe, but the color is a giveaway that its a wit. Up front there is a good crisp co2 feel on this one, sizzling enjoyable fun. Yes a very decent initial taste sensation of white ale; I'm liking this. Pretty much on style for a real old country wit beer. Yummy, actually. Civilized, easy, fun, civilied enjoyable fer sher. Nice job burger. Provides tongue biting co2 clear to the end, very good. I've had the older version of small town and this one is a bit better. Big thanks burger!

From a can, this does pour a little darker than pale, you know, just a hint of light brown tint, but its certainly not a so called red ale. Check out the photo, its almost plain old pale yellow. Nose is an off malty olfactory. First taste does have some maltiness to it, but that's hidden behind the somewhat phenolic bitter attribute that hits the taste buds up front. Yep, the middle reveals this astringent thing building in there. If this steel city beer is brewed for the steel city of the bugh, its laking a little. I bought a 12 pack of this with high hopes, now I'm wondering if I bought the farm. Just asking.

Tap at mad mex. Clear pale. Nose is BO on grapefruit peels. Some of the nose carries over to the taste. A lot of bitter green grapefruit rind mixed with fermenting pine tar. In the middle ,the taste clears up a little but the bitterness tends to build. In the end it gets almost nasty astringent & phenolic. Whew, one big fat terribly on style IPA fer sher.

Can: Poured a murky golden with floaties, head was white. This appearance has me worries. Aroma is hoppy, fruity, citrus, piney, pineapple. Taste is bitter hops, citrus, piney, citrus, sticky, pineapple acid. Better than I expected.

Canned July 7th 2023, from City Brew Tours.
It pours a mostly clear straw gold with a goodly amount of foam, shrinks quickly leaving very little lacing.
The smell is lemon, light cloves, yeasty, somewhat spicy, grassy.
The taste is spicy, grassy, lemon, yeasty, coriander. Tasty.
Light end of medium bodied, plenty of carbonation.
A good example of the style.
