Cask at the Royal Blenheim, Oxford, 28-03-09 Pours light amber in colour with a white head. There is a good pushy bitterness about this bitter, some appleskin, its fruity, crisp and tangy. The bitterness really hangs with this one, very nice beer. A6 A5 F7 P4 OV13 3.5

Bottle Hotel du Vin Newcastle. Poured a deep dark brown with a thin tan head. Dark chocolate and dark fruit aroma that continued in to the flavour which was dry and malty with spice and nut notes. Well executed and interesting stout that slipped down nicely.

Bottle, Hotel du Vin, Newcastle Upon Tyne. Poored a golden colour with a thin white head. Aroma was citrus and grassy hop, a theme which continued on in to the flavour. Slightly thin but emminently drinkable. Dry finish. Worth a stab.
