We came to Burton for the water. Well, for the rocks the town was built on to be precise. The water trickles down through a thick layer of gypsum before we bring it back up again through our well. That’s what gives our beers the depth of flavour, character and crisp refreshing bitterness that you won’t find anywhere else in the world.

Keg pint on 6th September 2024, in the Telford Town Centre Wetherspoons. This is a beer I thought I'd tried before but on checking discovered I had not (hope I didn't rate the wrong beer a few years back, again I will have to check, I have checked and I didn't). Clean and clear golden body, white crust. A little 'fizzy' with a slight citrus leaning before some piney notes appear. Not unpleasant, my fourth rate of the day.

Bottle 50cl. from Kelley's @home poured into a pint glass. Clear deep golden colour, good creamy white to off-white head, good retention and lacing. Aroma sweet malt, grain, lemon, light caramel, grassy hops. Taste medium sweet and bitter, malty, grain, some caramel, citrusy and grassy hops, metallic notes. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, malty sweetbitter aftertaste, husky notes, harsh impression, nice though.
