Opaque black pour with a lasting tan head. Rich chocolate and coffee aroma. Complex blend of flavors that follow the aroma and delivered with some sweetness, a bit of tartness and a dryness that comes in the finish.

Bottle thanks to a trading partner. Pours a near clear deep brown with a light brown head that dissipated to the edges. Aroma is quite rich with dark chocolate, roasted malts and a bit of a backing dark bread note. Flavor begins with rich roasted malts and is joined by a rich a chocolate note. A nice beer.

Bottle as Mother Earth Silent Night thanks to torino. Pours with a black body and a tan head. Aromas of fudge, coffee, alcohol, wood, husky, cocoa and vanilla beans. Roasty flavors with coffee, and nearly a peppery note (alcohol or barrel character, I’m not sure). Earthy. Lively yet rich. Vanilla in the finish.

750 ml bottle at Swingbridge grand re-opening. Dark and murky brownish black, large tan head, a nice surprise for a barrel-aged beer. Aroma of whiskey and powdered cocoa. Taste is slight bourbon, coffee, very long finish with bourbon late. Body is too light. Not bad.
