From a bladder bag/box in the buffet on the train from Thurso to Inverness, 20/10/13. Lightly hazed golden amber with little in the way of a head. Nose is bitter orange, toasted malts, light hop notes. Taste comprises orange pith, bitter citric fruit, toasted malts. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, dry finish with light grassy notes. Mediocre GB.

Nose is bitter orange, straw, toasted malts, hint of glue. Taste comprises orange pith, lemon sherbet, straw, bread dough. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, grassy bitterness in the finish. Ok GB whelming stuff !

Cask-conditioned at the Merseyside beeriodical, the Seven Stars, Bristol February 2013. Pale gold with a slight, white head. Light, fruity beer with some crisp malts and decent, bitter finish. Fine.

Bottle bought whilst staying at Ramada, Southport. Poured a clear, golden colour with a nice white head. Citrus, hoppy, with a nice light finish.

Cask gravity at 7th Bexley BF. Very dark brown lasting beige head. A hoppy trad modern mild. Very hoppy in fact. Very drinkable. I liked it. Cant tell you why but its good.

Cask, gravity at Merton Winter Beer Festival, 17th & 18th February 2012 Dark brown with a few stray bubbles, smooth and with a fruitiness, there is a light tanginess and decent bitterness. I overlooked this beer a little over the weekend however it was quite decent. A6 A4 T7 P4 Ov13 3.4

Bottle, Carringtons, Chorlton. Clear amber pour with a tiny off white head. Some grapefruit and sweet malt lurking in the nose. Similar flavour with some gentle hoppage. Crisp, fruity and easy drinking. Dry lingering bitter finish. Definitely one of the better english bottled bitters out there amongst a sea of mediocrity.

Cask @ Bon Accord. Clear golden colour, white head. Nose is light malted, some citrus, a bit non-descript. Flavour is light malty, bit of citrus. Slightly bitter finish. A bit thin-bodied.
