Hand pump at Toronado, September 2024. Pint glass. Slightly opaque not quite hazy, more jelly-ish, middling gold with a permanent lather. Delicate fruity, English malt, leather, veg nose. Bittersweet, white grapefruit pith, lime, thin resin, long aspirin, numbing finish. Soft palette, thin, soft hand pull fizzy. Good & easy.

Poured from a 16 oz, batch 2 can dated July 31 2024. Aroma is malt forward with notes of toasted bread, caramel, crackers and hints of raisin and cherry. Hints of floral, herbal hop notes. Hints of alcohol. Pours a slightly hazy, golden amber color with a medium large, thick, fluffy, white head that recedes slowly to a small film that lingers. Fairly high lacing and faint legs. Flavor is somewhat sweet with moderately strong grain notes of toasted bread, caramel, and biscuit. Hints of cherry and raisin. Light bitterness and light alcohol notes. Hints of herbal, floral hop notes. Mouthfeel is light bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a solid, malt forward lager with a really nice, flavorful character. Clean and crisp with balanced bitterness and hop notes.
