Description
Reported by CAMRA in March 2025 that beers are now being brewed at Birmingham Brewing Co.

Please check when adding new beers but it would seem to appear best practice to add them as brewed there going forwards.

Before there was the brewery, there were pubs. The Plough and Harrow was the first, 2006. Then the Duke William 2009. These two beautiful and popular pubs are a short distance apart and are the reason that Craddock’s Brewery is rooted in Stourbridge.

The brewery was installed at the Duke William in March 2011. The next two years the focus of the company was on perfecting the beers and remaining traditional and true to the local heritage of small, family-run pub and brewery companies. This was when Dottie the Dray horse would work every Sunday delivering the beer to the Plough and Harrow.

Cask at the Stable Bar, Bridgnorth. Mid-gold and clear with a small white head. Grain and light citrus aroma. hints of peach. Lovely bittersweet taste: nectarines and wheat with a suggestion of pine. Long finish with a pronounced peach note. Good beer.

11th July 2015: cask half-pint in the Duke William. Amber body, white film covering on top. More malts in the nose and flavour than the fruity hop content: semi-sweet and a lot better than the Craddock’s Saxon Gold I had beside it.

11th July 2015: cask half-pint in the Duke William. Very pale, straw coloured body, the head a white film of not much. Mild citrusy aroma with a grapefruit like flavour. Not in great condition considering it was drank at the Brewery Tap and they knew that a large CAMRA group were coming. I wasn’t part of that group, but I knew some of them when they came through the door.

Cask pint in Duke William, Stourbridge on 18th April 2015. Golden pour with a thin white head. More malts than hops in this session ale, decent without pushing any buttons. The finish was semi-bitter and dry.

On tap at the King Charles II. Hazy pale gold colour with thin white head. Aroma is certainly zesty, as the pump clip suggested. Taste starts sweet, but has a bitter finish.
