Draft. A- Caramel, brown sugar, booze. A- Copper color, clear liquid, off white head. T- Caramel, brown sugar, subtle red wine, slightly booze, subtle oak. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, smooth finish. O- The first mistake and maybe one of the only ones is that itโ€™s only served on nitro. This beer would benefit from not being on nitro so much. Tasted more like a barleywine than IPA. No noticeable bitterness. Lots of caramel and brown sugar with a touch of booziness that makes me think wine barrels were used for the aging. Pretty solid beer for sure. Not worth the $13 a pint they ask for it but still tasty. Just remove it from nitro!

Draft. A- Black coffee, espresso, chocolate. A- Dark brown color, dark liquid, light brown head. T- Black coffee, medium bitterness, slightly roasty. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, balanced finish. O- Tasted like black coffee with a touch of roasted chocolate. They used to have the Black Sheep Espresso Stout which was retired and recently brought back and now they also have this version that uses a local coffee roaster. Not sure if itโ€™s better or worse. Honestly donโ€™t see much of a difference. This one seems to have a touch less of that chocolate mocha flavor but either way, itโ€™s still good. One of the best beers they have ever done.

Draft. A- Mild smoke, grains. A- Gold color, clear liquid, white head. T- Mild smoke, ham, bitter, citrus, pine. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, slightly bitter finish. O- Okay but really strange. The smoke seems to fade as it warms which is exactly the opposite of what should be happening. More meaty than ashy in terms of smoke. The concept is cool but it doesnโ€™t work like it should.

Draft. A- Caramel, gummy candy, juicy fruit. A- Copper color, hazy liquid, white head. T- Caramel, fruity, gummy. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, malty finish. O- Not a traditional Irish Ale by any means. More like a mild ale, blonde ale, IPA hybrid who know what. Lots of caramel and a unassuming amount of fruitiness. Weird but drinkable.

Draft. A- Grains, subtle citrus, grassy. A- Gold color, clear liquid, white head. T- Grains, corn, straw. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, bland finish. O- Another boring typical lager from Thunderhead. Nothing exciting and brewed for the masses.

Draft at HopCat, Lincoln, NE. Crystal clear piss yellow. Aroma is peach, peach fuzz, maybe wheat.

The peach is subtle. Wheat is subtle. The whole damn brew is subtle. It will please the masses. Light body, fruity finish.

From can to glass. Nice artwork led me to grab this. Malty generally, with slight herb and floral aspects. Slightly hazy orange with moderate retained white head. Solid orange in the flavor. I liked this....but it was late in the evening of a nice family visit to KS so maybe the ambiance bumped it slightly.
