On cask at Simple Simon’s, Canterbury. I haven’t drunk this in 12 years, ever since I was sick at the end of a "drink the bar" session when the last pint was this. Pale yellow/green with no head. Good apple skin aroma. You wouldn’t know it was 8%. No real heat etc. But wow what a beautiful feeling afterwards. I really enjoyed drinking this again after so long.

(Bottle) Clear amber, no head and quite flat.Fantastic and very intense aroma of whisky and fruit. Extreme fullness and a marked sweetness with the apple flavours lurking underneath - but they’re very downplayed. A very sophisticated "Grand Cru" cider. The King og ciders? 200106

This cider caught me by surprise - inspite of knowing that it at matured in whisky cask - I had no idea, that the aroma would be so powerful and only of whisky - I imagined some apples in the aroma, but only whisky, so I was kicked back in the chair overwhelmed and not too satisfied - eventhough the whisky aroma is nice (for a whisky). The color is a dark orange and no surprise it has no head. The flavor is much more complex, than the aroma, since it has a really interesting combination of notes from the apples and the whisky, with some acidity from the apples as well as some woody notes from the cask, and a dry end. I would have like if the same combination of apples and whisky that is present in the flavor also was present in the aroma.

Cask at the Wenlock Arms, London
Very pale yellow color. Aroma of apples and hazelnuts. Quite sweet, with a light astringency. Not as complex as the Asturian ones (Spain), but easily drinkable.
