Thanks to BarZigKin for the bottle, pours thick black with a medium tan head. Aroma is awesome, dark cocoa, rolled oats, coffee, molassis and dark fruits. Flavor is rich roast, thick coffee coats the tongue and a rich dry and semi-sweet molassis rounds out dry. Really lingers with dark fruits and heavy roast. This is top notch and I wish I had more!

On tap at The Petrol Station. Pours a dark brown with small creamy beige head that lasts awhile. The aroma is a light roasted malt and vanilla. Thin mouthfeel with a light roasted malt with chocolate and mocha. Hides the alcohol extremely well making it very easy to drink. Very impressed and really enjoyed this Imperial porter from Independence.

Growler thanks to mar. Pours with a clear golden body and a fading white head. Aromas of apple, grain, wheat, florals, and citrus honey notes. Flavors are grainy, floral and a bit of cardboard or earthiness. Lively bubbles. Lasting bitter flavor (seemed out of place).

Bottle: Poured a a hazy amber color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of light hoppy citrus notes with bitter notes and some good caramel malt. Taste is also dominated by good citrus notes that are well balanced by plain bitter hoppy notes with a solid malt backbone that is well balanced and not too sweet. Nothing earth shattering but well brewed for the style.

Bottle thanks to mora2000. Pours with a black body and a large brown head. Nice lacing. Aromas of chocolate, oatmeal, dark fruits, sarsaparilla, mocha, dusty chocolate, raisins and currants. Flavors are rich, chocolate, dusty, smokey and a bit ashy in the mid palate, a bit of baked bread and bitter coffee. Fudge. Very earthy. Lively bubbles for the style, but they come across creamy. Well made and bottled Texas beer!
