Bragdy Nant (Nant Brewery) was founded in October 2007 by a partnership of ale lovers in Llanrwst, North Wales. We had great fun learning what makes a truly great ale, and we believe that we now make ales that can compare with the best in Wales and beyond.

We take an enormous pride in creating our products, and hope that you'll find something in our range that you like. We have expanded our range to accommodate the varied and interesting tastes that characterise true lovers of real ales. Throughout our range, the emphasis is on quality and consistency. We feel we produce excellent beers and we have received good reviews for all of them, and have been awarded medals! We also can create custom orders; call or email and let us know what you want. Cask (gravity) @ 28th Pigs Ear Beer and Cider Festival 2011, at The Round Chapel in Hackney, London, EnglandClear medium to dark amber color with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, bread, straw, toasted - caramel, sweet malt, wood. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average duration, fruity, paper notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20111206]

Pig’s Ear. Slightly hazy amber beer, tidy off white head. Light dry palate. Nice mild citrus hops with a touch of strawberry. Nice even malt backbone. Dry finish. Alright.

Cask at Pigs Ear. Hazy amber beer, residual white head. Light palate. Dry and low carbonation. Tangy orange hops, somewhat insipid. Trace of minerals. Dry finish.

Aroma is moderate malty, caramle malt, light to moderate hoppy, dusty hops, light to moderate yeasty, UK yeast, apple, phenol. Cask at the NWAF, Manchester, 2012. Reddish-brown pour with a beige head. Treacle and caramel aroma. Smoky chocolate flavour. Dry, malty finish.

Cask at Pig’s Ear Beer Festival, London. Deep amber. Spicy hops and ripe fruit. Mid dry with light-medium body and soft mouthfeel. Some caramel and dusted fruits, giving it a sort of harvest ale character. Balanced and nicely drinkable.

Cask@Pigs Ear Beer Festival 2011. Amber colour, small white foamy head. Aroma is fruity, nectary, wooden and mildly vanillaish. Flavour is wood, fruits, some herbs and mild caramelly and crystal malty notes. Mild nuttyness show up in the finish as well.

Cask at Pen Y Bryn Hotel, Llanrwst. Very dark brown. Rich chocolatey nose with some coffee. Mid sweet, relatively fruity with dark chocolate followed by a lightly tarry finish. Soft and pleasant.
